Our calendar is packed with events that bring us together. We are home to unique traditions and dedicated support systems, including:
- The Annual Frozen Bun Run: One of our most storied traditions! This annual event showcases the grit and humor of our community as participants brave the Delta waters to kick off the season with a splash.
- Community Festivities: From the festive Christmas celebrations at Scout Hall, to our lively annual Boats & Berries Festival in August, to our monthly community activities around our local businesses, there is always a reason to gather. Our local San Joaquin Yacht Club sponsors 2 boat parades in April and December that locals and surrounding communities either join in or support from the comfort of their levee homes.
- Children’s Support Services: We are deeply committed to our youth. Through local initiatives and our amazing community-led BICSS, we ensure our children have the resources, support, and safe environments they need to thrive right here on the island.
- Community Support: Our local church has free groceries and food giveaways for the needy.
